My Experiences Within Motherhood, & my Attempts to Maintain a Personal Life Outside of It.

My experiences within motherhood and my attempt to maintain a personal life outside of it.
...Here I record my own self discipline: My commitment not to "let myself go". My promise to seek my God and follow my passions.
My attempt to do so despite and amidst the chaos of chasing around my high-energy kids while learning the French culture...

A Week of Wonderful - 1st Edition!

I'm starting a new tradition for my blog:
Every Sunday, I intend to bring the past week under optimistic review as I list "Ten Things That Made This Week Wonderful". I've always been an optimist at heart, but far too often I find myself living in the "what-ifs" and regrets of my past... even if it was just worrying about what I ate for breakfast this morning. Sometimes I need to stop and smell the roses a little more often.
So, welcome to the first...
Ten Things That Made This Week Wonderful
  1. I made the bed three days in a row this week... that's a huge accomplishment!
  2. Charity has grown a special affection for her daddy. It's truly precious to watch.
  3. I got a great start on organizing the garage... it's so energizing!
  4. The spring weather allowed for more walks in the sunshine with Charity this week.
  5. I LOVE eating my homemade granola with berries and milk/yogurt in the morning for breakfast.
  6. In cleaning out the garage, I've been able to dig up old things from my past that I had forgotten about; it's almost like Christmas again!
  7. John and I rented a redbox movie tonight. Can't beat an hour and half of couple time for $1!
  8. Charity is getting better at walking. It's so fun to watch her laugh when she tries to walk to us on her own; it's like a game to her!
  9. The vibrant purple lavender in our front yard makes me grin every time I see it!
  10. God continues to be gracious and patient with me in my everyday worries and struggles this week.

Everyone needs an optimist in their lives, otherwise we all get sad. I need to do a list like this, go MB! I think number 2 might be my fav too, and that she is walking, and spring, and ok all good stuff!

That's a great thing. It always helps to remember the good things. I love number 2 as well. I also like number 5 because I know how good that granola is. Keep enjoying the good things in your life! Hugs and kisses to Charity and hugs to John.
