My Experiences Within Motherhood, & my Attempts to Maintain a Personal Life Outside of It.

My experiences within motherhood and my attempt to maintain a personal life outside of it.
...Here I record my own self discipline: My commitment not to "let myself go". My promise to seek my God and follow my passions.
My attempt to do so despite and amidst the chaos of chasing around my high-energy kids while learning the French culture...

A Week of Wonderful

This week truly has been a wonderful one.  It's October, which means pumpkins and fall in full swing... hurray!  It's been eventful right up to this last weekend as well.... So allow me to recall the week's best...

Ten Things That Made This Week Wonderful:
  1. All day Monday, I was able keep the windows open, never turn on our AC and enjoy the fresh fall air blowing through our house.
  2. All day Tuesday, I was able keep the windows open, never turn on our AC and enjoy the fresh fall air blowing through our house.
  3. ...All week long, I was able to keep our windows open, and enjoy the fresh air.... hurray for saving on electricity all week!!
  4. Last Monday was the first "cool" day we had seen in months, I celebrated by making my first batch of apple cider of this year... I now feel like fall is officially in season!
  5. I made my very own chicken stock for the first time ever this week.  It was awesome to have the pot simmering away all afternoon... all the chicken, veggies, and herbs cooking made the house smell like a holiday feast!
  6. This has been another good week in the kitchen.  I am loving cooking regularly again and expressing my creativity in this way while enjoying it with my taste buds.
  7. We went to Picture People this week and got some great family photos.  I'll make a post of some of these pics soon... or you can find them on my facebook album as well.
  8. I got a start on my fall decorating this week!  Decorating is so energizing and theraputic for me.
  9. Yesterday at church was amazing:  John had the privilege of baptizing 9 different individuals, and a total of 7 people made first time decisions for Christ... an amazing day for the kingdom!
  10. Yesterday after church. John and I went out with some of our youth students and had wonderful Chipotle for lunch and then we topped it off with a first time tasting of a deep fried Snickers bar from Hotdog on a Stick at the mall... fried chocolate: so bad for you; but oh so good!
