"Nogurt"

Yogurt is one of Charity's favorite things.  She calls it: "Nogurt".  Don't ask me why, but she cannot seem to properly pronounce her y's yet. Nonetheless, she loves the stuff.  Asks for it multiple times a day.  We are always buying more yogurt.

Last year, I wrote a Making the Ordinary Extraordinary post on yogurt.  You can find it here.  But I just had to add this additional commentary to that post in that I recently discovered the BEST yogurt ever (in my opinion), and it would only make my Extraordinary yogurt recipe all the more extraordinary.  I'm sure you have seen the commercials for Dannon Greek.

Seriously.  This stuff is off the charts.  And I personally prefer the vanilla and honey flavors.... can't quite get a liking for the sour plain stuff (but can be good if you stir in a fruit puree!).  A lot of "Greek" yogurts that I have tried lately claim that they are rich and creamy and thicker than traditional yogurt, but most of them seem to fall short and be pretty much the same to me.  Not this stuff.  It's heaven.  Super gooey thick.  Yet somehow light and creamy all at the same time.  Don't ask me how they do it.  The vanilla has a fresh, true, creamy vanilla taste, and the honey flavor after you mix it all up is like a sticky treat!  Not only that, but greek yogurt is by far more healthy than traditional yogurts.  I'm not an expert, I just know this is good.  It's slightly pricier than the yoplait $.78 cup, but I think it's well worth it!  Use this in my yogurt post and your tummy will be oh so happy!  I love this stuff with berries, in smoothies, or with granola and fruit... Man, is it good!

Great blog. So great that today, I bought some at the store. I tried it and loved it. I'm not a regular yogurt fan but love custard. This is a perfect combo.

Totally true, isn't it?! You're right... it's kinda like a custard! Maybe that's why I like it so much...
